We had reserved a table for 4, but found out at the last minute that another friend wanted to join us. The hostess was very accommodating, and got us a wonderful booth by the front window. We loved the elegant lodge like setting, very comfortable but clearly a classy place. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The cocktails were delicious, and just a little inventive. I was pleased by the vegetarian choices. – August 2015

Menu offerings were diverse, beautifully prepared, large portions, and came from the kitchen at good time intervals. Bingo oysters are always a must. – July 2015

Super yummy and they have an outside patio area in the back that is dog friendly! I’ve been coming here for almost 7 years now and it’s always great! Aug. 2, 2015

One word – Phenomenal! July 2015

Don Draper would have had a tab here.Throwback steak house with strong martinis, per my pal who drinks. Hunting lodge meets 60’s bar atmosphere, literally on the sis of 101. Some views of the bay. Large steaks, salads are sort of throwback wedges, and good service.

“Everything you want in an upscale restaurant….” Just the best – have to visit at least once every time we go to the area. Fabulous food, wine list, experienced and helpful wait staff and comfortable setting….

“Good food, with historic flair!” Great restaurant with lots of local history. Nice menu, including tapas like appetizers, kids favorites (burgers and wings) and hearty dishes, like brisket and mash potatoes.

Classic Marin Tastes The classic martini is an adult drink. No muddling, no veggies, no froufrou liqueurs. The Buckeye bar in Mill Valley is dark, cozy and wrapped in red leather, and it’s where to go when you have the need so say these words: Sapphire martini up, very cold, very dry, with a twist.
